Happy summer! I have another free coaster pattern to share with you that is perfect for your outdoor space. I started this design over a year ago and abandoned it, but decided to finish it up just in time for summer to officially start!
This pattern is fast and easy and uses category 4 cotton yarn (Lily Sugar N Cream as usual!). It’s a great beginner tapestry crochet pattern and works up in no time at all.
You can purchase the inexpensive, printer-friendly, AD-FREE PDF instant download version of this pattern here via my Etsy shop, or continue scrolling down for the free pattern!

Optional:
If you want to add a fringe, cut 32 strands of yarn, each about 2-3″ long and loop them through the end of each row. I chose to add the fringe along the sides of my coasters rather than on the first and last rows – it helps hide the contrasting color carrying over to each row.
Alternately, sc in each stitch (with 2 scs in each corner) and row to make the coasters look more polished.
As always, I hope you enjoy this pattern! Please feel free to leave any questions in the comments or e-mail me. If you try this pattern, please share it with me on Instagram using #sarahfaithcrafts or tagging me @SarahFaithCrafts.
