I just discovered the wonderful world of car coasters. Not sure how I missed the memo but they’re so cute, and they work up so quickly! I have a million little design ideas for these and can’t wait to share <3 I decided to start with daisies since summer is finally about to start.

Materials Needed:
- Size 4.5 mm crochet hook (I use these and these glitter hooks โ theyโre awesome!)
- 1 ball each (71g / 2.5 oz, 109 meters / 120 yards) of Lily Sugar N Cream in White (Color C), Jade Mist (Color A), and Yellow (Color B)(or any color you’d like!) or similar worsted weight/weight 4 category yarn
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Finished Measurements:
Circle: About 2.5″
Flower: About 2.5″
Gauge:
Gauge isn’t super important for this project; you may have to go up or down a hook size to obtain finished measurements.
Pattern Notes:
- The colors can be customized; feel free to choose whatever colors you want!
- These were designed to fit my 2019 Nissan Sentra cup holders, but if you need to make them bigger, just add an additional round in the base and an additional round before the petals in the daisy.
Stitches Used:
- Single Crochet
- Double Crochet
- Slip Stitch
- Chain
Abbreviations (US):
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- st(s) = stitch(es)
- slst = slip stitch
- rep = repeat
Pattern:
Coaster base:
With color A, ch 2, slst into 2nd ch from hook to form a ring. Ch 1.
Round 1: 6 sc in ring. Slst into 1st sc. Ch 1. (6 sts)
Round 2: Sc in the same st that the ch 1 came from; 2 sc in each st around, 1 sc in last st. Slst into 1st sc. Ch 1. (12 sts)
Round 3: Sc in the same st that the ch 1 came from; 2 sc in each st around, 1 sc in last st. Slst into 1st sc. Ch 1. (24 sts)
Round 4: Sc in the same st that the ch 1 came from; 1 sc in each st around. Slst into 1st sc. Ch 1. (25 sts)
Round 5: Rep round 4. Do not ch 1 at end of round; tie off yarn and weave in ends. (26 sts)
Flower:
With color B, ch 2, slst into 2nd ch from hook to form a ring. Ch 1.
Round 1: 6 sc in ring. Slst into 1st sc. Ch 1. (6 sts)
Round 2: Sc in the same st that the ch 1 came from; 2 sc in each st around, 1 sc in last st. Slst into 1st sc. Ch 1. (12 sts) *note – switch to color C at the end of this round by finishing the last sc of the round with color C. Cut color B leaving a tail to weave in.
Round 3: With color C, sc in the same st that the ch 1 came from; sc in each st around. Slst into 1st sc. Ch 2. (13 sts)
Round 4: Dc in the same st that the ch 2 came from; 2 dc in next st, slst, ch 2, *2 dc each in next 2 sts, slst, ch 2, rep from * two times; 2 dc in next st, 2 dc in last st. Slst into last st of round. Cut yarn & tie off leaving a tail.
Attach flower to center of base & weave in ends.
