Hello there! Thank you for checking out the blog post containing the FREE CROCHET PATTERN for this super cute, bumblee porch goose costume! Scroll down for design notes and the free pattern, as well as an option to purchase the AD-FREE PDF download.

Okay but… is there anything cuter than a porch goose dressed for the season? I don’t think so.

If you’ve been loving the whole porch goose outfit trend as much as I have, you already know – it starts with one little outfit, and suddenly your goose has a full wardrobe (no regrets).

And with spring officially here, it felt like the perfect time to create something bright, happy, and just a little bit whimsical… so of course, a bumblebee costume had to happen. This free crochet pattern is designed to be simple, fun, and totally doable even if you’re not an expert crocheter.

The classic yellow and black stripes give it that sweet bee look, and we’ll add a few playful details to really bring the whole thing to life. Whether you’re decorating your porch for spring, adding to your growing collection of crochet goose outfits, or just want a project that makes people smile when they walk by your house, this one checks all the boxes.

With white, insert hook into the ch at the end of the antenna opposite to where the tails are, pull up a loop. Make a bobble with 5 dcs. Tie off, weave in ends.

Tie antenna to headband on the 6th stitch in from either side of the headband, or spaced to your preference. Weave in ends.

Run floral wire or a black pipe cleaner through each to make them bendable and for support.

Wings:

Make 2.

Sew wings to back of bee costume. I sewed mine over the 3rd and forth rows from the top of the dress.

Full disclosure, I just trimmed the ends of the wings and didn’t weave them in since they’re inside the dress. But feel free to weave them in!
