Materials Needed:

Finished Measurements:

  • Dress Length: about 11″
  • Dress Width: about 13″ at widest point
  • Hat Length: About 4″
  • Ear Width: About 9″ from left to right ear
  • Note: Outfit designed to fit 23″ porch goose.

Gauge:

  • Varies for this project.
  • You may have to go up or down a hook size to obtain finished measurements. I recommend maintaining semi-loose/medium tension throughout.

  • sc = single crochet

Pattern:

Body:

With white, make a slip knot, ch 30. Slst into 1st ch to join and make a loop.

Round 1: ch 1, loop stitch around. Slst into ch 1. (30)
Round 2: ch 2, dc around, slst into top of ch 2. (30)
Round 3: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (30)
Round 4: ch 2, dc, 2dc in next st, (dc 2, 2dc in next st), rep () to end of round. Slst into top of ch 2. (40)
Round 5: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (40)
Round 6: ch 2, dc 2, 2dc in next st, (dc 3, 2dc in next st), rep () to end of round. Slst into top of ch 2. (50)
Round 7: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (50)
Round 8: ch 2, dc around, slst into top of ch 2. (50)
Round 9: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (50)
Round 10: ch 2, dc 3, 2dc in next st, (dc 4, 2dc in next st), rep () to end of round. Slst into top of ch 2. (60)
Round 11: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (60)
Round 12: ch 2, dc 4, 2dc in next st, (dc 5, 2dc in next st), rep () to end of round. Slst into top of ch 2. (70)
Round 13: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (70)
Round 14: ch 2, dc 5, 2dc in next st, (dc 6, 2dc in next st), rep () to end of round. Slst into top of ch 2. (80)
Round 15: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (80)
Round 16: ch 2, dc around, slst into top of ch 2. (80)
Round 17: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (80)
Round 18: ch 2, dc around, slst into top of ch 2. (80)
Round 19: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (80)

Round 21: ch 1, loop st around, slst into ch 1. (80)

Round 26: scallop row – (Sk 2, 5dc in next st, sk 2, slst) rep around. Slst last 2. Tie off, weave in ends.

Sheep Bonnet:
With white, make a magic ring.

Round 1: Ch 1, 10 sc in ring. Slst into ch 1 to join. (10)
Round 2: ch 1, 2 loop st in each st around, slst into ch 1 to join. (20)
Round 3: ch 1, sc around, slst to join. (20)
Round 4: ch 1, (loop st, 2 loop st in next) rep around, slst to join. (30)
Round 5: ch 1, sc around, slst. (30)

Switch to rows

Row 6: ch 1, loop st 20, ch 1, turn. (20) This row is the set up of the hood.
Row 7: sc across, ch 1, turn (20)
Row 8: sk 1st sc, loop st across to last 2, sc2tog, ch 1, turn (18)
Row 9: sc across, ch 1, turn (18)
Row 10: loop st across, ch 1, turn (18)
Row 11: sc across, ch 1, turn (18)
Row 12: loop st across, ch 1, turn (18)
Row 13: sc across, ch 1, turn (18)
Row 14: sc across, ch 1. (18)

Ch 31. Tie off.

Ch 31 from opposite corner.

With black, insert hook into either corner where ties were made, pull up a loop, ch 1. Sc in each row to top section of hat, sc in each st, then sc in each row on the other side. (30 sts). Ch 1, sc in each st back to opposite corner. Tie off, weave in ends.

Ears:

Make 2.

With black, make a slip knot, ch 6.
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across, ch 1, turn. (5)
Row 2: sc 2, 2sc in next st, sc last 2, ch 1, turn. (6)
Row 3: sc 2, 2sc in next 2 sts, sc last 2, ch 1, turn. (8)
Row 4: sc across, ch 1, turn. (8)
Row 5: sc across, ch 1, turn. (8)
Row 6: sc across, ch 1, turn. (8)
Row 7: sc2tog, sc next 4, sc2tog, ch 1, turn. (6)
Row 8: sc2tog, sc next 2, sc2tog, ch 1, turn. (4)
Row 9: sc across, ch 1, turn. (4)
Row 10: sc2tog, ch 1, turn. (2)
Row 11: sc2tog. Tie off, weave in ends.

Sew to bonnet sides. Tie off yarn, weave in ends.
