Free Crochet Pattern: Pumpkin Spice Cowl

Happy September! Fall and spring are my favorite times of year, and I’m definitely celebrating pumpkin spice season FINALLY arriving!

I wanted to make a warm, fluffy cowl for later on in autumn when the weather starts turning brisk, and while I was looking for just the right yarn, I stumbled upon Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick in the shade Spice. It’s a warm dusty orange shade that is probably the most perfect color for autumn!

I love the multiple textures that this cowl has, and how easy and quick it was to make. Thick & Quick is really true to its name; it only took a few hours to make this cowl.

The pattern is very beginner-friendly and introduces a new stitch coupled with a basic stitch to create a unique texture.

Using a yarn needle, seam the spider stitch end and the DC end together & weave in ends.

Simple right?! I made this cowl in an afternoon while watching a few episodes of Top of the Lake with my mom.
