This free crochet pattern transforms your goose into the cutest little strawberry, complete with a leaf hat and strawberry blossom. It’s the perfect quick project to brighten up your porch, entryway, or school goose mascot!

Materials Needed:
- Size 5.0 mm crochet hook (I use these and these glitter hooks – they’re awesome!)
- 1 skein (198g / 7 oz, 333 meters / 364 yards) of Redheart Super Saver in Red, scraps of Yellow, and Citron (or green of your choosing)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Finished Measurements:
- Height: about 10.5″
- Width: about 13″
- Note: Outfit designed to fit 23″ porch goose.
Gauge:
- Varies for this project.
- You may have to go up or down a hook size to obtain finished measurements. I recommend maintaining semi-loose/medium tension throughout.

- sc = single crochet
- sc2tog = single crochet two stitches together
- dc2tog = double crochet two stitches together

Pattern:
Body:
With red, ch 30, slst into 1st ch to join.
Round 1: ch 2, dc in each st around, slst into top of ch 2. (30)
Round 2: ch 2, dc in each st around, slst into top of ch 2. (30)
Round 3: ch 2, dc, 2dc in next st. (Dc 2, 2dc in next st), rep () around, slst into top of ch 2. (40)
Round 4: ch 2, dc in each st around, slst into top of ch 2. (40)
Round 5: ch 2, dc 2, 2dc in next st. (Dc 3, 2dc in next st), rep () around, slst into top of ch 2. (50)
Round 6: ch 2, dc in each st around, slst into top of ch 2. (50)
Round 7: ch 2, dc 3, 2dc in next st. (Dc 4, 2dc in next st), rep () around, slst into top of ch 2. (60)
Round 8-10: ch 2, dc in each st around, slst into top of ch 2. (60)
Round 11: ch 2, dc 4, 2dc in next st. (Dc 5, 2dc in next st), rep () around, slst into top of ch 2. (70)
Round 12-14: ch 2, dc in each st around, slst into top of ch 2. (70)
Round 15: ch 2, dc 5, 2dc in next st. (Dc 6, 2dc in next st), rep () around, slst into top of ch 2. (80)
Round 16-20: ch 2, dc in each st around, slst into top of ch 2. (80)
Round 21: scallop edge row – (Sk 2, 5dc in next st, sk 2, slst), rep () around. Slst last 2, slst to join. Tie off, weave in ends.
With scraps of yellow, stitch short vertical lines to make seeds staggered around the dress.
Leaf collar:
With green, pull up a loop at the beginning of the round at the neck of the dress.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc around. (30)
Round 2: ch 1, sc 5, slst, (sc 6, slst), rep () 3 times, slst last 2, slst into ch 1. (leaf set-up round, making 4 leaves)
Switch to rows –
Row 3: ch 2, dc 1, 2dc in next 2, dc 2, ch 2, turn (8)
Row 4: dc across, ch 2, turn.
Row 5: dc 2, dc2tog, dc2tog, dc 2, ch 2, turn (6]
Row 6: dc 2, dc2tog, dc 2, ch 2, turn. (5)
Row 7: dc2tog, dc, dc2tog, ch 2, turn. (3)
Row 8: dc3tog. Tie off, weave in ends.
Rep rows 3-8 in the remaining 3 leaf set up stitches.
Hat base:
With green, make a magic ring.
Round 1: ch 1, sc 10, slst into ch 1. (10)
Round 2: ch 1, 2sc in each st, slst into ch 1. (20)
Round 3-5: ch 1, sc around, slst into ch 1. (20)
Ch 31. Tie off. Count 10 stitches away from ch, insert hook, ch 31, tie off.
Hat Leaves:
With green, make a magic ring.
Round 1: in ring ch 1, sc 10, slst into ch 1. (10)
Round 2: ch 1, 2sc in each st, slst into ch 1. (20)
Round 3: ch 1, (sc 4, slst) rep () x3, slst last st, slst to ch 1 to join.
Switch to rows
Row 4: ch 2, dc 1, 2dc in next 2, dc, ch 2, turn (6)
Row 5: dc 2, 2dc in next 2, dc 2, ch 2, turn (8)
Row 6: dc 2, dc2tog, dc2tog, dc 2, ch 2, turn (6)
Row 7: dc 1, dc2tog, dc 2tog, ch 2, turn (4)
Row 8: dc2tog. Tie off, weave in ends.
Rep rows 4-8 in the remaining 3 leaf set up stitch segments.
Attach to hat so that center of magic rings align.
With green, ch 6. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch. Tie off. Attach to the center of the top of the hat.
Flower:
With yellow, make a magic ring,
Round 1: in ring, ch 1, 10 sc, slst into ch 1. (10)
Round 2: with white, ch1, (2sc in next st, slst) rep ().
Round 3: ch 1, (dc 2, slst) around. Tie off, leave a long tail to attach to dress.
